GenAI General

Generative AI for Business Leaders

In recent years, AI has advanced remarkably, with some applications becoming so sophisticated that they are rapidly emerging as a powerful force across various industries.

According to this CNN article, AI is replacing human tasks faster than you think.

Leaders are agents of change in any organization. The more you understand how Generative AI works, why it can disrupt your industry, and its limitations – the more value you bring for your company and your career.

The Earth is not flat and Generative AI is out there

According to ChatGPT, 2% of Americans believe the Earth is flat. This number might bewrong, and it’s okay. It was created with Generative AI – specifically – with ChatGPT.Keeping in mind all the news, the hype, and “craziness” around the GenAI technology, let’s
continue playing with it. Curiosity moved humanity forward. I will ask a competitor of
ChatGPT, Meta AI – What are the most popular Generative AI tools in 2024?

continue playing with it. Curiosity moved humanity forward. I will ask a competitor of
ChatGPT, Meta AI – What are the most popular Generative AI tools in 2024?

The list of technologies in the screenshot above is changing daily. In fact, there are
hundreds of Generative AI tools and apps today. What unites them all is that they can talk,
draw, code, summarize, advice, help, give ideas, etc. They can create.

Remember 2021 and the times after Covid? Back there, for most people on Earth, it would
be Sci-Fi if their computer could talk like a real human. I don’t mean like Siri. I mean like
your friend or your school teacher. Fast forward, in 2024 it can.

ChatGPT was released to the public on November 30, 2022. Many jaws have dropped.
Speculations and investments run wild. It’s a cliché to say that it was the fastest-growing
app in history. It reached 1 million users five days after its launch.

Isn’t it a fascinating window into human psychology to see how quickly we take something
new and totally amazing for granted? Humans are very smart and adaptable, indeed. In
2024 many people feel that popular Generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Midjourney, and
others are part of our daily life. My grandparents would love to have these amazing tech
fruits of modernity – video calls, YouTube, electricity, and Generative AI.

Just recently Generative AI was a huge speculation, and Bill Gates, with Microsoft as a
major investor in OpenAI, wasn’t sure about this. The investment paid o_ (in a sense that
the technology started working with good results) and now GenAI is out there – every
business has access to it. We as business leaders, scientists, developers, and daily
technology clients, are moving Generative AI forward.

Generative AI is advancing rapidly. What doors will it open and what threats will it create for
business? Is Generative AI a great powerful with the potential to reshape businesses,
economies, and society?

I invite you to embark on the journey to think about how to use Generative AI in your
business.

12 Generative AI questions to think about for your business

Most important moments of our lives are decided by not what we know, but by how we
think. What do we do when confronting a problem that we have never seen before?

The invention of a photo camera might be a simplified analogy to the invention of
Generative AI. It has certainly shaped the world and created many industries, for example,
the film and television.

“Wonderful wonder of wonders!! … Steel engravers, copper engravers,
and etchers, drink up your aquafortis, and die! There is an end to your
black art… All nature shall paint herself — fields, rivers, trees, houses,
plains, mountains, cities, shall all paint themselves at a bidding, and at a
few moment’s notice.”

If we were in 1839 and saw the first version of the photo camera, what questions would we
ask? What if the current version of ChatGPT akin the first photo camera?
